Teaching-learning in a Rehabilitation Teaching and Assistance Unit: Conceptions of Occupational Therapy students

Resumo: | This article aims to understand the students' conceptions of the professional internship in rehabilitation about learning lived in a laboratory of daily living activities in the context of a Teaching and Assistance Unit. This is a qualitative and exploratory study. A semi-structured interview was used for data collection and for interpretation, the content analysis technique proposed by Bardin with the thematic category learning. The sample consisted of 14 students from the 4th year of the undergraduate course in Occupational Therapy at the Universidade do Estado do Pará. The similarities and distinctions between the contents were observed, as well as the central ideas of the narratives were identified. The results obtained showed aspects not experienced by the students in the practice scenario, which interfered with learning, such as the absence of discussion of clinical cases, team meetings, socialization of situations that foster clinical reasoning for decision making. The students suggested reformulating actions to enable a more innovative and constructive experience in the practice environment. |

The students suggested reformulating actions to enable a more innovative and constructive experience in the practice environment.Este artículo tiene como objetivo comprender las concepciones de los estudiantes de la pasantía profesional en rehabilitación sobre el aprendizaje vivido en un laboratorio de actividades de la vida diaria en el contexto de una Unidad de Enseñanza y Asistencia. Se trata de un estudio cualitativo y exploratorio. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó la entrevista semiestructurada y para la interpretación, la técnica de análisis de contenido propuesta por Bardin con la categoría temática aprendizaje. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 14 estudiantes del 4º año del curso de graduación en Terapia Ocupacional de la Universidade do Estado do Pará. Se observaron las similitudes y distinciones entre los contenidos, así como se identificaron las ideas centrales de las narraciones. Los resultados obtenidos evidenciaron aspectos no experimentados por los estudiantes en el escenario de práctica, que interfieren en el aprendizaje, como la ausencia de discusión de casos clínicos, reuniones de equipo, socialización de situaciones que favorezcan el raciocinio clínico para la toma de decisiones. Los estudiantes sugirieron reformular acciones para posibilitar una experiencia más innovadora y constructiva en el ambiente de práctica.Este artigo tem como objetivo compreender as concepções dos discentes do estágio profissionalizante em reabilitação sobre aprendizagem vivenciada em laboratório de atividade de vida diária no contexto de uma Unidade de Ensino e Assistência. Trata-se de estudo qualitativo e exploratório. Utilizou-se para coleta de dados a entrevista semiestruturada e para a interpretação a técnica de a análise de conteúdo proposto por Bardin com a categoria temática aprendizagem. A amostra foi constituída por 14 discentes do 4º ano do curso de graduação em Terapia Ocupacional da Universidade do Estado do Pará. Foram observadas as semelhanças e distinções entre os conteúdos, bem como identificadas as ideias centrais das narrativas. Os resultados obtidos evidenciaram aspectos não vivenciados pelos discentes no cenário de prática, os quais interferiram no aprendizado, tais como ausência de discussão de casos clínicos, reunião de equipe, socialização de situações fomentadoras do raciocínio clínico para a tomada de decisões.
