Resumo: Objective: To identify the prevalence of hemoglobinopathies in pregnant women screened at the Dona Evangelina Rosa Maternity Hospital in Teresina, state of Piauí. Methods: We analyzed 19 pregnant women with altered hemoglobin levels, screened at Dona Evangelina Rosa Maternity, during the period from October 2015 to june 2016. The data was organized into a database in Microsoft Office Excel. And the analysis performed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences® (SPSS) program version 23.0.
