Resumo: Objective: To describe the experience of students participating in an extension project in the creation and use of digital technology, as a playful tool for the continuity of storytelling activities to hospitalized children during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This is a descriptive study, of an experience report type, which took place at a Public University, located in the central-west region of Minas Gerais, through the Contos Project: the art of humanizing the pediatric environment in health institutions, developed by undergraduate and graduate students in Nursing and Computer Sciences. Results: The experience from March 2020 to March 2021, demonstrated that after the interruption of on-site extension activities, there is the possibility of continuing extension actions using digital technology, giving an opportunity for playful care to children. hospitalized child, and the articulation of teaching, research and extension for students who experience education in the virtual modality. Final Considerations: The creation and use of digital technology is an important tool for access to children and families who experience hospitalization in this time of pandemic. In addition to promoting the articulation of extension with health institutions, providing a new way of learning to extension students.

Método: Se trata de un estudio descriptivo, de tipo relato de experiencia, que se llevó a cabo en una Universidad Pública, ubicada en la región centro-oeste de Minas Gerais, a través del Proyecto Contos: el arte de humanizar el ambiente pediátrico en las instituciones de salud, desarrollado por estudiantes de pregrado y posgrado en Enfermería e Informática. Resultados: La experiencia de marzo de 2020 a marzo de 2021, demostró que luego de la interrupción de las actividades de extensión en sitio, existe la posibilidad de continuar las acciones de extensión utilizando tecnología digital, dando una oportunidad de cuidado lúdico a los niños, niños hospitalizados y la articulación. de docencia, investigación y extensión para estudiantes que experimentan la educación en la modalidad virtual. Consideraciones finales: La creación y uso de tecnología digital es una herramienta importante para el acceso de niños y familias que experimentan hospitalización en este momento de pandemia. Además de promover la articulación de la extensión con las instituciones de salud, brindando una nueva forma de aprendizaje a los estudiantes de extensión.Objetivo: Descrever a experiência de alunos integrantes de um projeto de extensão na criação e utilização da tecnologia digital, como ferramenta lúdica para a continuidade das atividades de contação de histórias a crianças hospitalizadas durante a pandemia da COVID-19. Método: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, do tipo relato de experiência, que ocorreu em uma Universidade Pública, situada na região centro-oeste de Minas Gerais, através do Projeto Contos: a arte de humanizar o ambiente pediátrico em instituições de saúde, desenvolvido por discentes dos cursos de graduação e pós-graduação em Enfermagem e Ciências da Computação.  Resultados: A experiência vivenciada durante o período de março de 2020 a março de 2021 demonstrou que após a interrupção das atividades presenciais de extensão houve a possibilidade de continuidade das ações extensionistas utilizando-se a tecnologia digital, dando oportunidade para o cuidado lúdico à criança hospitalizada e a articulação do ensino, pesquisa e extensão para os alunos que vivenciam a educação na modalidade virtual. Considerações Finais: A criação e utilização da tecnologia digital é uma importante ferramenta de acesso às crianças e famílias que vivenciam a hospitalização nesse tempo de pandemia.
