Permanent health education in urgency and emergency services: an integrating review

Resumo: Objective: Analyze how permanent health education has been used as a strategy for qualifying the teams of urgent and emergency services. Method: Integrative Literature Review, carried out through five databases and a digital library, having as inclusion criteria: types of study, language and time frame. The final sample consisted of 11 studies. Results: As a result of the evidence synthesis, two thematic categories emerged: "The relevance of Permanent Education as a strategy for professional qualification in urgent and emergency services" and "Methods used in the implementation of Permanent Education in urgent and emergency services". Conclusion: The integrative review became effective, pointing out the relevance of permanent education for the professional qualification and performance, allowing us to realize the importance of this being more stimulated and incorporated into urgent and emergency services, and emphasizing that this will provide skills and better efficiency in customer service. It was possible to observe that the various methods that are being used aiming at the implementation of this educational practice, highlighting the use of the technology associated with it. The evidence obtained can be useful for discussions on the subject and for future research.

Método: Revisión Integral de Literatura, realizada a través de cinco bases de datos y una biblioteca digital, teniendo como criterios de inclusión: tipos de estudio, lenguaje y marco de tiempo. La muestra final consistió en 11 estudios. Resultados: Como resultado de la síntesis de evidencia, surgieron dos categorías temáticas: "La relevancia de la educación permanente como estrategia para la calificación profesional en los servicios de urgencias y emergencias" y "Métodos utilizados en la implementación de la educación permanente en los servicios de urgencias y emergencias". Conclusión: La revisión integradora se hizo efectiva, señalando la relevancia de la educación permanente para la calificación y el desempeño profesional, lo que nos permite darnos cuenta de la importancia de que esto sea más estimulado e incorporado a los servicios de urgencia y emergencia, y enfatiza que esto proporcionará habilidades y una mejor eficiencia en el servicio al cliente. Se pudo observar que los diversos métodos que se están utilizando con el objetivo de implementar esta práctica educativa, destacando el uso de la tecnología asociada a ella. La evidencia obtenida puede ser útil para las discusiones sobre el tema y para futuras investigaciones.Objetivo: Analisar como a educação permanente em saúde vem sendo empregada como estratégia de qualificação das equipes dos serviços de urgência e emergência. Método: Revisão Integrativa da Literatura, realizada através de cinco bases de dados e uma biblioteca digital, tendo como critérios de inclusão: tipos de estudo, idioma e recorte temporal. A amostra final foi composta por 11 estudos. Resultados: Como resultado da síntese de evidencia, emergiram duas categorias temáticas: “A relevância da Educação Permanente como estratégia para a qualificação profissional nos serviços de urgência e emergência” e “Métodos empregados na implementação da Educação Permanente nos serviços de urgência e emergência”. Conclusão: A revisão integrativa se fez eficaz, apontando a relevância da educação permanente para a qualificação e desempenho profissional, permitindo perceber a importância desta ser mais estimulada e incorporada aos serviços de urgência e emergência, e ressaltando que esta proporcionará habilidades e melhor eficiência no atendimento ao usuário. Foi possível observar que os diversos métodos que estão sendo empregados visando a implementação dessa prática educacional, destacando-se o uso da tecnologia associada a mesma. As evidências obtidas podem ser úteis às discussões sobre a temática e nas futuras pesquisas.
