Attitudes related to interprofessional collaboration between Primary Health Care professionals

Resumo: The study intended to characterize the attitudes related to interprofessional collaboration among health professionals in Primary Health Care in a municipality in Maranhão. For this, a cross-sectional study was carried out with 173 health professionals. Questionnaires were applied on interprofessional collaboration, with the Jefferson Scale of Attitudes Related to Interprofessional Collaboration, and on their demographic, educational and professional performance aspects. The data were organized in spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, as a percentage and analyzed using the Stata version 14. Most of the respondents were female, with an average age of 36.3 years old, community health agent profession. It was identified that the attributes time to practice the profession, time to primary health care and specialization were configured as aspects related to attitudes related to interprofessional collaboration. Our findings demonstrate that Primary Health Care professionals have attitudes related to interprofessional collaboration, and continuing education tools are needed so that collaborative competences are better understood and practiced by these professionals.

Para ello, se realizó un estudio transversal con 173 profesionales de la salud. Se aplicaron cuestionarios sobre la colaboración interprofesional, con la Escala de Actitudes Relacionadas con la Colaboración Interprofesional de Jefferson, y sobre sus aspectos demográficos, educativos y de desempeño profesional. Los datos fueron organizados en hojas de cálculo en Microsoft Excel, como un porcentaje y analizados con el programa Stata versión 14. La mayoría de los encuestados eran mujeres, con una edad promedio de 36,3 años, profesión de agente de salud comunitaria. Se identificó que los atributos: tiempo para el ejercicio de la profesión, tiempo para la atención primaria de salud y especialización, se configuraron como aspectos relacionados con las actitudes relacionadas con la colaboración interprofesional. Nuestros hallazgos demuestran que los profesionales de Atención Primaria tienen actitudes relacionadas con la colaboración interprofesional, y se necesitan herramientas de educación continua para que las competencias colaborativas sean mejor comprendidas y practicadas por estos profesionales.O estudo buscou caracterizar as atitudes relacionadas à colaboração interprofissional entre os profissionais de saúde da Atenção Primária em Saúde de um município no Maranhão. Para isso, foi realizado um estudo transversal com 173 profissionais de saúde. Foram aplicados questionários sobre a colaboração interprofissional, com a Escala Jefferson de Atitudes Relacionadas à Colaboração Interprofissional, e sobre aspectos demográficos, de formação e atuação profissional deles. Os dados foram organizados em planilhas no Microsoft Excel, em formato de percentual e analisados por meio do programa Stata versão 14. A maioria pesquisada era do sexo feminino, com média de idade de 36,3 anos, profissão agente comunitário de saúde. Identificou-se que os atributos tempo de exercício da profissão, tempo de Atenção Primária em Saúde e especialização configuraram-se como aspectos ligados a atitudes relacionadas à colaboração interprofissional.
