Content analysis as a methodology in Qualis-CAPES A1 journals in Science Education

Resumo: | The research methodology explains the path taken in a study. In this sense, we researched the analysis methodologies used in 677 articles, from two Qualis-CAPES A1 journals, in order to identify the use of Content Analysis. The investigated magazines were “Essay: Research in Science Education” and “Science and Education”, with 145 articles presenting the descriptor “content analysis”. From these articles, we analyzed the mention of the descriptor for the first time in the text (title, abstract or keywords). Thus, by employing content analysis, we achieved at two categories: "the mapping of Content Analysis in research in science education" and the emerging category "the rigor of the theoretical framework in the methodological path of research". In one sense, we observed that, the content analysis was mentioned for the first time in the development of the work in 61.4% of the articles. And as a reference for this analysis methodology, Laurence Bardin was mentioned in 76.1% of the analyzed articles. |

En este sentido, investigamos las metodologías de análisis empleadas en 677 artículos, de dos revistas Qualis-CAPES A1, con el fin de identificar el uso del Análisis de Contenido. Las revistas investigadas fueron “Ensaio: Pesquisa em Educação em Ciências” y “Ciência e Educação”, con 145 artículos presentando el descriptor “análisis de contenido”. A partir de estos artículos, analizamos la mención del descriptor en el texto (título, resumen o palabras clave). Así, empleando el análisis de contenido, llegamos a dos categorías: "el mapeo del análisis de contenido en la investigación en educación científica" y la categoría emergente "el rigor del marco teórico en el camino metodológico de la investigación". En este sentido, observamos que, el análisis de contenido fue mencionado por primera vez en el desarrollo del trabajo en el 61,4% de los artículos. El referente para esta metodología de análisis, Laurence Bardin fue mencionado en el 76,1% de los artículos analizados.A metodologia de uma pesquisa explicita o caminho percorrido em um estudo. Neste sentido, pesquisamos as metodologias de análise empregadas em 677 artigos, de duas revistas Qualis-CAPES A1, visando identificar a uso da Análise de Conteúdo. As revistas investigadas foram “Ensaio: Pesquisa em Educação em Ciências” e “Ciência e Educação”, sendo que 145 artigos apresentaram o descritor “análise de conteúdo”. Destes artigos, analisamos a menção do descritor pela primeira vez no texto (título, resumo ou palavras-chave). Assim, empregando a análise de conteúdo, chegamos a duas categorias: “o mapeamento da Análise de Conteúdo em pesquisas no ensino de Ciências” e a categoria emergente “o rigor do referencial teórico no percurso metodológico da pesquisa”. Neste sentido, observamos que, a análise de conteúdo foi mencionada pela primeira vez no desenvolvimento do trabalho em 61,4% dos artigos.
