Educational practice and its relationship with the STS approach with freire’s philosophy

Resumo: | The STS approach has brought a renewal in the form of educational practice, in which teachers and students can research together to build scientific knowledge. In this way, themes related to the experiences lived by the students provide an educational practice enriched by meanings. In the search to improve the pedagogical action, this research is considered as problematic the educative practices of teachers, from a formative process, supported by the STS approach, and aimed to analyze the relationship of the pedagogical practices with the Freirean assumptions. It was developed in a state public school, located in the city of Santa Maria / RS, for teachers working at the levels of Elementary and/or High School, mediated by pedagogical workshops. The data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of three closed questions and categorized through Content Analysis. As a result of this study, it was possible to perceive that it provided subsidies for educational practice, in the elaboration and development of activities, showing the variability of strategies and themes that were used by teachers in their pedagogical practices, and the importance of providing new opportunities for teachers. Finally, it is understood that the training process allowed the introduction of new opportunities for teachers. And that when addressing the STS approach in their practices, they considered characteristics relevant to the educational process, anchored in Freirean assumptions. |

De esta manera, los temas relacionados con las experiencias vividas por los estudiantes brindan una práctica educativa enriquecida con significados. En la búsqueda de mejorar la acción pedagógica, esta investigación consideró como problemáticas las prácticas educativas de los docentes, desde un proceso formativo, apoyado en el enfoque CTS, y tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación de las prácticas pedagógicas con los supuestos freireanos. Se desarrolló en una escuela pública estatal, ubicada en la ciudad de Santa María / RS, para docentes que laboran en los niveles de Bachillerato y / o Bachillerato, mediada por talleres pedagógicos. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de un cuestionario que consta de tres preguntas cerradas y categorizados mediante Análisis de Contenido. Como resultado de este estudio, se pudo percibir que brindó subsidios para la práctica educativa, en la elaboración y desarrollo de actividades, mostrando una variabilidad de estrategias y temas que fueron utilizados por los docentes en sus prácticas pedagógicas, y la importancia de brindar nuevas oportunidades para los docentes. Finalmente, se entiende que el proceso de formación permitió la introducción de nuevas oportunidades para los docentes. Y que al abordar el enfoque CTS en sus prácticas, consideraron características relevantes al proceso educativo, ancladas en supuestos freireanos.A abordagem CTS vem trazendo uma renovação na forma da prática educativa, na qual professores e estudantes podem pesquisar juntos para a construção do conhecimento científico. Dessa forma, temas relativos às experiências vividas pelos educandos propiciam uma prática educativa enriquecida por significados. Na busca de aprimorar a ação pedagógica, essa pesquisa considerou como problemática as práticas educativas de docentes, a partir de um processo formativo, amparado pela abordagem CTS, e objetivou analisar a relação das práticas pedagógicas com os pressupostos freireanos. Foi desenvolvida em uma escola pública estadual, localizada no município de Santa Maria/RS, para professores atuantes nos níveis do Ensino Fundamental e/ou Médio, mediado por oficinas pedagógicas. Os dados, foram coletados através de um questionário composto por três questões fechadas e categorizados por meio da Análise de Conteúdo. Como resultado desse estudo, foi possível perceber que proporcionou subsídios para prática educativa, na elaboração e o desenvolvimento das atividades, evidenciando uma variabilidade de estratégias e temas que foram utilizadas pelos docentes em suas práticas pedagógicas, e a importância de oportunizar novas formações aos docentes. Por fim, entende-se que o processo formativo permitiu introduzir novas oportunidades aos docentes.
