Physiotherapeutic interventions in the treatment of female dyspareunia: an exploratory study

Resumo: | Introduction: Dyspareunia is one of the existing sexual dysfunctions, it is defined as a painful sexual act or attempt. This dysfunction causes severe pain and is classified among the group of painful sexual disorder, which is a highly prevalent category and has a major negative impact on the quality of life of the women affected and their sexual partnership. Objective: To analyze and describe the light of current literature with a good methodological quality, the approach of physiotherapy in the treatment of female dyspareunia. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Studies addressing physical therapy treatment in women with dyspareunia, published from 2010 to 2020, without linguistic restriction, including periodicals, were included. Duplicate studies, book chapters, literature reviews, systematic reviews, editorial letters, comments, guidelines and abstracts of scientific articles were excluded. The databases used for the bibliographic survey were: Pubmed, Medline, PEDro and ScienceDirect. Data collection was carried out in the months of May and July of the current year 2020. Results and Discussion: After collecting the data, it was observed that physiotherapeutic resources such as Electrotherapy and Kinesiotherapy of the pelvic floor have a positive effect regarding this dysfunction, such as in the normalization of muscle tone, in the increase of perineal awareness, in proprioception, in the strengthening, elasticity, vascularization and improvement of pain, thus improving the sexual interaction of women. Final Considerations: It is believed that this study contributes to a possible adaptation of therapeutic services and expansion of knowledge about women's pelvic sexual pain, we show that the physiotherapist is the health professional who has all the knowledge to provide support to women in this touching. |

Esta disfunción causa dolor intenso y se clasifica entre el grupo de trastorno sexual doloroso, que es una categoría altamente prevalente y tiene un impacto negativo importante en la calidad de vida de las mujeres afectadas y su relación sexual. Objetivo: Analizar y describir la luz de la literatura actual con una buena calidad metodológica, el enfoque de la fisioterapia en el tratamiento de la dispareunia femenina. Metodología: Esta es una revisión de literatura integradora con un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo. Se incluyeron estudios que abordaron el tratamiento de fisioterapia en mujeres con dispareunia, publicados de 2010 a 2020, sin restricción lingüística, completos con publicaciones periódicas. Se excluyeron los estudios duplicados, capítulos de libros, revisiones de literatura, revisiones sistemáticas, cartas editoriales, comentarios, pautas y resúmenes de artículos científicos. Las bases de datos utilizadas para la encuesta bibliográfica fueron: Pubmed, Medline, PEDro y ScienceDirect. La recopilación de datos se realizó en los meses de mayo y julio del año 2020 actual. Resultados y discusión: Después de recopilar los datos, se observó que los recursos fisioterapéuticos como la electroterapia y la kinesioterapia del piso pélvico tienen un efecto positivo con respecto a esta disfunción, como en la normalización del tono muscular, en el aumento de la conciencia perineal, en la propiocepción, en el fortalecimiento, la elasticidad, la vascularización y la mejora del dolor, mejorando así la interacción sexual de las mujeres. Consideraciones finales: Se cree que este estudio contribuye a una posible adaptación de los servicios terapéuticos y a la expansión del conocimiento sobre el dolor sexual pélvico de las mujeres, demostramos que el fisioterapeuta es el profesional de la salud que tiene todo el conocimiento para brindar apoyo a las mujeres. en este conmovedorIntrodução: A dispareunia é uma das disfunções sexuais existentes, ela é definida como ato ou tentativa sexual dolorida. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura com abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa. Foram incluídos estudos que abordavam o tratamento fisioterapêutico em mulheres com dispareunia, publicados de 2010 a 2020, sem restrição linguística, completos de periódicos. Resultados e Discussão: Após levantamento dos dados, observou-se que os recursos fisioterapêuticos como eletroterapia e cinesioterapia do assoalho pélvico tem efeito positivo quanto a esta disfunção, tal como na normalização do tônus muscular, no aumento da conscientização perineal, na propriocepção, no fortalecimento, elasticidade, vascularização e melhora da dor, tendo assim, melhora na interação sexual das mulheres.
