Resumo: To identify the factors associated with Burnout Syndrome in nursing professionals working in hospital care. Quantitative cross-sectional study conducted with 39 professionals that make up the nursing staff of a medium-sized hospital in the northwest region of Rio Grande do Sul / Brazil. Data collection occurred through the use of a self-administered structured questionnaire. Statistically associated with Burnout Syndrome were age and feeling of overload. Chronic stress related to the work environment directly reflects on workers' health, thus causing pathological conditions resulting in serious diseases such as Burnout Syndrome.

Estudio transversal cuantitativo realizado con 39 profesionales que conforman el personal de enfermería de un hospital de tamaño mediano en la región noroeste de Rio Grande do Sul / Brasil. La recopilación de datos se produjo mediante el uso de un cuestionario estructurado autoadministrado. Estadísticamente asociados con el Síndrome de Burnout fueron la edad y la sensación de sobrecarga. El estrés crónico relacionado con el entorno laboral se refleja directamente en la salud de los trabajadores, lo que provoca afecciones patológicas que provocan enfermedades graves como el síndrome de Burnout.Identificar os fatores associados à Síndrome de Burnout nos profissionais da enfermagem que atuam em assistência hospitalar. Estudo quantitativo transversal, realizado com 39 profissionais que compõem a equipe de enfermagem de um hospital de médio porte da Região Noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul/Brasil. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio da utilização de um questionário estruturado autoaplicável. Mantiveram-se associados estatisticamente com Síndrome de Burnout a idade e sentimento de sobrecarga.
