Resumo: | This research discusses the problematic of the teaching-learning process in the Early Years of Elementary School at Aldeia Morro Branco, an indigenous school located in the city of Grajaú-MA. Its central objective is to understand how the process of teaching and learning occurs in the villages from the teachers' perception. Indigenous Education is a fundamental political-educational action for the maintenance of Brazilian indigenous culture, constituting a process of transmission of ancestral knowledge built by indigenous populations. Indigenous School Education refers to formal educational actions, through an educational process based on interculturality and bilingualism. From the methodological point of view, the research was based as a qualitative research. It was found that much remains to be done to make the process of an emancipatory education in the village of Morro Branco, which portrays the reality of many villages in the country, reaching the fundamental principles for Indigenous Education able to meet recovery needs and preservation of indigenous peoples and culture. |

Su objetivo central es entender como se lleva a cabo el processo de enseñanza y aprendizaje em las aldeias desde la percepcion de los maestros. La educacion indigena es una acción politico – educativa fundamental para el mantenimiento de la cultura indigena brasileña, que constituye un proceso de transmision del conocimiento ancestral construído por las poblaciones indígenas. La educacion escolar indigena se refiere a acciones educativas formales, através de un proceso educativo guiado por la interculturalidad e el bilinguismo. Desde un punto de vista metodológico, la investigacion se basó em la investigacion cualitativa. Se descubrió que aún queda mucho por hacer para que el proceso de una educacion emancipadora em Aldeia Morro Branco, que se retrata la realidad de muchas aldeias em el pais, alcance los princípios fundamentales para una educación indigena capaz de satisfazer las necesidad de valorizacion y preservacion de los pueblos indígenas y la cultura.Esta pesquisa discorre sobre a problemática do processo de ensino aprendizagem nos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental na Aldeia Morro Branco, escola indígena, situada no município de Grajaú- MA. Seu objetivo central é entender como ocorre o processo ensino aprendizagem nas aldeias, a partir da percepção dos professores. A Educação Indígena é uma ação político educacional fundamental para a manutenção da cultura indígena brasileira, constituindo-se um processo de transmissão dos conhecimentos ancestrais, construídos pelas populações indígenas. A Educação Escolar Indígena diz respeito a ações educativas formais, através de um processo educacional pautado pela interculturalidade e pelo bilinguismo. Do ponto de vista metodológico, a investigação se fundamentou como uma pesquisa qualitativa. Constatou-se que ainda há muito a ser feito para que o processo de uma educação emancipadora na Aldeia Morro Branco, o qual retrata a realidade de muitas aldeias do país, alcance os princípios fundamentais para uma Educação Indígena capaz de atender às necessidades de valorização e preservação dos povos e da cultura indígena.
