“NOT RECOMMENDED TO SOCIETY”: emotional education and experiences LGBTQIA+ in school

Resumo: | The objective of this research is to problematize emotional education in relation to the schooling experiences of LGBTQIA+ people and their coping strategies, including the processes of violence in school. This is a qualitative research of the narrative type, in which the stories of five people who were marked as dissident bodies by the pedagogies applied to them during their school trajectories were collected. We identified three macrocategories that synthesize the forms of pedagogies exercised on the participants in the school space, with the intention of disciplining their deviant emotions: the pedagogy of silence, the pedagogy of fear and the pedagogy of violence. We pointed out that those who did not fit into cis-heteronormativity had their bodies stigmatized in a negative way, thus creating a peculiar way of constituting themselves as LGBTQIA+ in the pedagogical spaces. In addition, we discussed how emotional education can be a tool to promote diversity, inclusion and respect for differences in the educational context. |

Se trata de una investigación cualitativa del tipo narrativa, en la que se recogieron las historias de cinco personas que fueron marcadas como cuerpos disidentes por las pedagogías aplicadas a ellas durante sus trayectorias escolares. Identificamos tres macrocategorías que sintetizan las formas de pedagogías ejercidas sobre los participantes en el espacio escolar, con el propósito de disciplinar sus emociones desviantes: la pedagogía del silencio, la pedagogía del miedo y la pedagogía de la violencia. Señalamos que aquellos/as que no se ajustaban a la cis-heteronormatividad tuvieron sus cuerpos estigmatizados de forma negativa, creando así una manera peculiar de constituirse como LGBTQIA+ en los espacios pedagógicos. Además, discutimos cómo la educación emocional puede ser una herramienta para promover la diversidad, la inclusión y el respeto a las diferencias en el contexto educativo.O objetivo desta pesquisa é problematizar a educação emocional em relação às experiências de escolarização de pessoas LGBTQIA+, incluindo os processos de violência na escola. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa do tipo narrativa, na qual foram coletadas as histórias de cinco pessoas que foram marcadas como corpos dissidentes pelas pedagogias aplicadas a elas durante suas trajetórias escolares. Identificamos três macrocategorias que sintetizam as formas de pedagogias exercidas sobre os participantes no espaço escolar, com o intuito de disciplinar suas emoções desviantes: a pedagogia do silêncio, a pedagogia do medo e a pedagogia da violência. Apontamos que aqueles/as que não se adequavam à cis-heteronormatividade tiveram seus corpos estigmatizados de forma negativa, criando assim uma maneira peculiar de se constituir como LGBTQIA+ nos espaços pedagógicos.
