TACTILE IMAGE IN THE TEACHING OF CYTOLOGY FROM THE LIFE STORIES OF BRAILIST TEACHERS

Resumo: | The article sought to discuss the contributions of a tactile experience with the construction and use of pictures or tactile image, in Biology teaching, for students with visual impairment. We carried out an interdisciplinary approach between History Methodology and Biology through Oral History/Life History, in which teachers, through interviews conducted by the researcher, reported on their professional life and taught the researcher the technique of tactile experience. From the transcripts of the teachers' reports and after analyzing the sociological portraits and the literary references, guidelines were built on what materials to use and the techniques regarding the making and use of tactile figures in the teaching-learning process of the person with visual impairment for the formation of mental images with the use of the haptic system, which becomes more effective with the aid of audio description. As well as practices that contributed to raising the level of education, professional ascension, maximizing inclusion and autonomy processes for students with some type of visual impairment. |

Realizamos uma abordagem interdisciplinar entre Metodologia da História e a Biologia por meio de História Oral/História de vida, na qual professoras, mediante entrevistas realizadas pelo pesquisador, relataram sobre a vida profissional e ensinaram ao pesquisador a técnica da experiência tátil. A partir das transcrições dos relatos das docentes e após analisar os retratos sociológicos e os referenciais literários, foram construídas orientações sobre quais materiais utilizar e as técnicas acerca da confecção e utilização de figuras táteis no processo de ensino-aprendizagem da pessoa com deficiência visual para a formação de imagens mentais com o uso do sistema háptico, que se tornam mais eficazes com o auxílio da audiodescrição.
