Resumo: | The purpose of this teaching case is to provide students with an analysis of strategies to enter international markets and stimulate discussion on International Marketing and cultural barriers. The case tells the story of a Brazilian company specialized in the development and manufacture of textile machinery, Beta Equipamentos, which experiences barriers to entry into international markets, specifically in its expansion to Colombia and Peru, countries of the American continent. The company's partners are in a dilemma and need to rethink the entry into the Colombian and Peruvian markets. The use of the case is indicated for undergraduate courses that address themes related to the internationalization of companies, such as modes of entry into international markets, International Marketing and international culture. |

El caso cuenta la historia de una empresa brasileña especializada en el desarrollo y fabricación de maquinaria textil, Beta Equipamentos, que experimenta barreras de entrada a los mercados internacionales, específicamente en su expansión a Colombia y Perú, países del continente americano. Los socios de la empresa se encuentran en un dilema y necesitan repensar el ingreso a los mercados colombiano y peruano. El uso del estuche está indicado para cursos de pregrado que aborden temas relacionados con la internacionalización de empresas, como modos de entrada en los mercados internacionales, Marketing Internacional y cultura internacional.O objetivo do presente caso para ensino é proporcionar aos alunos a análise sobre as estratégias de entrada em mercados internacionais e estimular a discussão sobre Marketing Internacional e barreiras culturais. O caso relata a história de uma empresa brasileira especializada no desenvolvimento e fabricação de máquinas têxteis, a Beta Equipamentos, que vivencia barreiras na entrada em mercados internacionais, especificamente em sua expansão para a Colômbia e para o Peru, países do continente americano. Os sócios da empresa encontram-se em um dilema e precisam repensar a entrada nos mercados colombiano e peruano.
