Acesso ao pensamento computacional na educação básica como fator preponderante para definição da área de TI como Curso Superior

The Information Technology market remains warm even in the face of the economic crisis Brazil has faced in recent years. However, there is a labor shortage in the IT sector, while the attraction of students to computer courses is small. The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether people who had previous contact with computational thinking tend to remain in the area for undergraduate or professional courses. For that, interviews were carried out with three groups of participants, the first with participants of ENEM 2016 in order to verify which area they wanted to study in the upper course, the second group studied were students of a technical course in computer science, who have access to the thinking computational and as last group we had students from the technical course to confirm the data collected in the previous group. We observed at the end of the study that students who had previous knowledge in computing have demonstrated interest in graduating in the area of Technology.
