Resumo: | The objective of this article is to analyze the profile of higher education students in Brazil, comparing elite courses with undergraduate degrees, in order to investigate whether access is still hierarchical for different population strata. The descriptive analysis of data and information from the Census of Higher Education 2015 was accessed as a methodology. The findings indicate that contrasting elite courses with undergraduate degrees there is a prevalence in the elite courses of men, 57%, and white 61%, compared to 39% of blacks and 43% of women already in the degree, although the racial component does not stand out, the prevalence is female with 70% of the participants. Therefore, it may be pointed out that despite government initiatives (PROUNI, REUNI and FIES) that have been effective in expanding access to higher education, there is still much to progress in the process of democratization. |

Universidade LaSalle - Unilasalle CanoasSouza, Lorena Passos dePassos, LuanaFerreira, Rosilda Arruda2020-08-05info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/Educacao/article/view/571110.18316/recc.v25i2.5711Educação, Ciência e Cultura; v. 25, n. 2 (2020); p. 157-1722236-6377reponame:Revista Educação Ciência e Culturainstname:Universidade La Salle (UNILASALLE)instacron:UNILASALLEporhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/Educacao/article/view/5711/pdfDireitos autorais 2020 Educação, Ciência e Culturainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2021-08-26T20:09:11Zoai:ojs.revistas.unilasalle.edu.br:article/5711Revistahttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/Educacao/indexONGhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/Educacao/oairevistas@unilasalle.edu.br||revista.educacao@unilasalle.edu.br2236-63772238-7293opendoar:2021-08-26T20:09:11Revista Educação Ciência e Cultura - Universidade La Salle (UNILASALLE)false |
