Life and Evolution in primary school: metacognitive activities for teaching and learning

Resumo: The authors present the results of the analysis of a set of strategies and metacognitive activities nature about Life and Evolution, to be used by teachers in Science classes in 3rd-year elementary school classes. This qualitative assessment carried out through the elaboration and application of a protocol for the analysis of educational products, answered by ten teachers with experience in working with classes of students from the early years of elementary school. The teachers analyzed global characteristics of all six proposed activities that make up the didactic product in question. The results showed that, although it can still improve, the evaluating teachers well evaluated and considered different aspects of the didactic product innovative, presenting a great potential and feasibility of being used in science classes in the student groups for which it designed

Tal avaliação, de caráter qualitativo, foi realizada mediante a elaboração e aplicação de um protocolo de análise de produtos educacionais, respondido por dez professoras com experiência na atuação em turmas de alunos dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental. As professoras analisaram características globais e todas as seis atividades propostas que compõe o produto didático em questão.
