Distance Education (DE) in Brazil: a reflection about the social inclusion

Resumo: Distance education (DE), for many, is an easier education. Others regard it as one of the options to improve the education level of the population. Because of this, the objective was to analyze how university professors see the relationship of social inclusion and DE. It counted on the participation of sixteen professors from different institutions. Data collection was done through the application of a questionnaire and data analysis by the sum of the teachers’ answers. The results indicated that the participating teachers see a relation of social inclusion and DE. Therefore, the conclusion was that this modality is a powerful tool to include people of different levels, places and times.

Outros já a consideram como uma boa opção para melhorar o nível de escolaridade da população. Por conta disso, o objetivo foi analisar como professores universitários veem a relação da inclusão social e EaD. Contou com a participação de dezesseis professores universitários de diferentes instituições. A coleta de dados foi feita pela aplicação de um questionário e a análise pela soma das respostas dos professores. Os resultados indicaram que os professores veem a relação da EaD com inclusão social.
