To allow institutions of higher education to develop the ODL experience from the supply in presence 20% of their working hours, the MEC strengthens the opposition. This article is a reflection on the concept of virtual presence and, as proposed by Lévy and Sánchez, evaluates the impact of offering courses online courses face, examining the program established by the University Tiradentes in 2002 with the provision of three disciplines of Joint Center for Graduate Study and Communication, fully online, expanded in 2005, with the discipline of a mandatory bid online, the courses in the first period, the areas of human and exact. Through questionnaires distributed to students involved applied by the Center for Distance Education in the period 2002 to 2004. This experience helped to understand the level of acceptance / resistance processes online education, students from the graduate courses of presence, and has brought benefits to identify the contribution of old in the construction of new borders between the virtual and the presence in higher education. Ao autorizar as instituições do Ensino Superior a desenvolver experiências de EAD, a partir da oferta no presencial 20% de sua carga horária, o MEC reforça esta contraposição. Este artigo faz uma reflexão sobre o conceito de presencial e virtual, proposto por Lévy e Sánchez, procura avaliar o impacto da oferta de disciplinas on-line em cursos presenciais, analisando o programa implantado pela Universidade Tiradentes em 2002 com a oferta de três disciplinas do Núcleo Comum dos Cursos de Licenciatura e Comunicação, totalmente on-line, ampliado em 2005, com a oferta obrigatória de uma disciplina on-line, no primeiro período nos cursos, das áreas de humanas e exatas. Através de questionários distribuídos aos alunos envolvidos aplicadas pelo Núcleo de Educação a Distância, no período de 2002 a 2004. Esta experiência contribuiu para compreender o nível de aceitação/resistência de processos educativos on line, por alunos da graduação de cursos presenciais, assim como, trouxe subsídios para identificar a contribuição da EAD na construção de novas fronteias entre o presencial e o virtual na educação superior.
