Resumo: | The purpose of this communication is to focus on the analysis of social vulnerability inpublic space for people with special needs, ie, individuals who have a disability thatimposes severe difficulty in walking and using the benefit of free public municipalpublic transportation. There are currently, in Montes Claros (MG), four categories ofrecipients of the generosity of the local public transportation system. They are: theelderly, those over 60 years, municipal tax, students entitled to half-pass, and finally,people with special needs temporary or definitive, family income, per capita, equal to orless minimum wage. It is estimated that the total number of users that are part of thecategory to be examined of 6,445 people. Desde 2010, existem em Montes Claros (MG) quatro categorias de beneficiários do sistema de gratuidade do transporte coletivo municipal. São eles: os idosos, maiores de 60 anos, fiscais municipal, estudantes com direito ao meio-passe estudantil e, por fim, as pessoas com necessidades especiais, transitórias ou definitivas, com renda familiar mensal, per capta, igual ou menor a um salário mínimo.
