Resumo: The course in Geography Unimontes was created in 1964 and since 2008 has expanded virtually through Distance Education. In this context, we intend to insert into the new model of Education that is based on the use of technologies. This article aims to understand the course of Geography UAB/EAD -Unimontes, from the perspective of students in the seventh sentence of cities: Itamarandiba pole, and Pompéu, Janaúba – MG. To do so was adapted as a methodology: a literature review followed by a questionnaire. This paper is structured in three parts: A brief discussion of Distance Education, The teaching/learning of EAD, course participants and refl ections.
