Resumo: Given the current scenario of health in Brazil, it is becoming necessary changes in health practices in this context, the Family Health Program-FHP appears to change strategy, focusing attention on the family, disease prevention and health promotion. Thus this article aims to discuss the importance of territory associated to the prospects of the proposed FHP health, emphasizing Bocaiuva city. The methodological procedures were reviewed literature and documents, informal surveys with the purpose of obtaining information relating to health and especially the FHPs of Bocaiuva were also conducted fieldwork in the FHP of Bonfim, Esperança, Pernambuco, Renovação to assess the operation and obtain data , documents and maps of the FHPs areas. Itis essential that the geographical science is identified throughout the structure of work since the contribution that science is infinite for the evolution of man and the dynamics surrounding their survival. In this sense the information provided by this work could form the basis for future studies and new program action.

In this sense the information provided by this work could form the basis for future studies and new program action.Tendo em vista o cenário atual da saúde no Brasil, faz se necessárias mudanças nas práticas de saúde, neste contexto, o Programa Saúde da Família- PSFsurge como estratégia de mudança, centrado na atenção a família, focando a prevenção de doenças e promoção à saúde. Dessa forma este artigo tem como objetivo discutir a importância do território associado às perspectivas da proposta de saúde do PSF, enfatizando o município de Bocaiúva. Os procedimentos metodológicos foram revisão bibliográfica e documental, pesquisas informais com a finalidade de obter informações relacionadas à saúde e em especial aos PSFs de Bocaiúva, foram realizados ainda trabalhos de campo nos PSFs Bonfim, Esperança, Pernambuco, Renovação para avaliar o funcionamento e obter dados, documentos e mapas das áreas de atuação desses PSFs. È fundamental que a ciência geográfica seja identificada em toda aestrutura do trabalho uma vez que a contribuição dessa ciência é infinita para a evolução do homem e a dinâmica que envolve sua sobrevivência.
