Resumo: | ABSTRAT The activity agroindustry generates high amounts of waste that can cause environmental impact. The man has increasingly sought a feeding healthy and rich in nutrients, where the use of the byproducts from the agroindustry can be one of the alternatives, being able help to increase the nutritional quality of food and reduce environmental impacts. To extract the bioactive compounds, present in the food, many techniques have been used being, the most widespread, by solvents. These applied in different matrices where the combination of solvent and heating facilitates the transfer of mass. The objective this work is show a bibliographical revision of current trends and results in the extraction of bioactive compounds in byproducts of the food agroindustry chain, reporting the worked byproducts, applied methods and alternatives emerging to conventional methods. The methods that stand out in the extraction of unconventional bioactive compounds are: Use of unconventional solvents, negative pressure extraction, supercritical extraction with CO2, pressurized liquid extraction, subcritical water extraction, assisted extraction by Ultrasound and filtering membrane extraction. With the use of non-conventional methods what highlights as an advantage is the increase in the levels of compounds obtained and greater selectivity, use of less energy and biodegradable solvents, however, these methods are little explored on an industrial scale perhaps by the prince and need for adjustments in the process. Some research has presented promising alternatives to extraction, in the use of waste, among them, the application of biotechnology, physical techniques and the use of waste as components for food enrichment. Key-words: Bioactive compounds. extraction of phenolic compounds. food by products. |

Key-words: Bioactive compounds. extraction of phenolic compounds. food by products.
