Summary: The paper analyzes the feasibility of developing the theme of health in physical education classes in high school, from curriculum guidelines proposed by the State of Paraná. The study is a research method action research. We conclude that one can work in a broad health issue in the school, allowing students to understand that the body, physical activity and society are closely related and that health could be a result of the actions of human beings since it is considered the various determinants that relate to it. Finally, we hope to contribute to this study the presence of the subject dealing with health in physical education in a critical way.

A pesquisa objetivou analisar a viabilidade do desenvolvimento da temática saúde nas aulas de educação física escolar no ensino médio, a partir do proposto pelas Diretrizes Curriculares do Estado do Paraná. O estudo tem como método de investigação a pesquisa-ação.  Conclui-se que é possível trabalhar a temática saúde de forma ampla na escola, permitindo que os alunos entendam que o corpo, a atividade física e a sociedade estão intimamente relacionados e que a saúde pode ser um resultado das ações do ser humano desde que se considere os diversos determinantes que se relacionam com ela. Por fim, com esse estudo esperamos contribuir com a presença do trato com o tema saúde na educação física escolar de maneira crítica.
