Resumo: This essay aims to discuss the discipline of physical education in school education, at the institutional and curricular levels. Both the development of the school institution and the development of school knowledge must be seen in their connection to each other in order to understand the function of school knowledge. In a first stage, the relationship between the development of the school as an educational institution and the school's mission is to be responsible for the development of school knowledge. In a second stage, the development of school subjects in connection with the development of school knowledge is discussed. In the third stage, an anthropological legitimation is fundamentally sought for the immediate implantation of the Physical Education discipline in the canon of school subjects in the basic education curriculum.

Tanto la disciplina / profesionalidad como el conocimiento escolar deben estar sistemáticamente relacionados entre sí para materializarse. En una primera etapa é apresentado  la relación entre el desarrollo de la escuela como institución educativa y la misión de la escuela es ser responsable del desarrollo del conocimiento escolar. En una segunda etapa, se discute el desarrollo de asignaturas escolares en relación con el desarrollo del conocimiento escolar. En la tercera etapa, se busca fundamentalmente una legitimación antropológica para la implantación inmediata de la disciplina de Educación Física en el canon de las asignaturas escolares en el currículo de educación básica.  O ensaio tem como objetivo discutir a disciplinaridade da educação física no ensino escolar, nos âmbitos institucional e curricular. Tanto a disciplinaridade/profissionalismo quanto o conhecimento escolar devem estar  sistematicamente relacionados entre si  para que se concretizem. Numa primeira etapa, é apresentada a relação entre o desenvolvimento da escola como instituição educacional e a missão da escola, ser responsável pelo desenvolvimento do conhecimento escolar. Numa segunda etapa, é discutido o desenvolvimento de disciplinas escolares em conexão com o desenvolvimento do conhecimento escolar.
