The look of university teachers of the physical education course on active education methodologies

Resumo: Background: Active methodologies are perceived as innovative teaching strategies, in which the focus is the participation of students in the construction of their knowledge. Objective: To analyze the view of higher education teachers in Physical Education regarding the knowledge, training and use of active teaching methodologies. Methods: We chose a descriptive field study, with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Thirteen (13) university professors from public and private institutions of a municipality in the interior of Paraná were analyzed by means of a questionnaire with open and closed questions. Results: It was noted that the teachers understand the active methodologies and the majority (n=8) have some type of training about it. Regarding the use of active methodologies, the majority of teachers (n=11) stated that they use it in the classroom. Conclusion: The teachers understand, have some type of training and make use of such strategies. This research made it possible to broaden the focus on vocational training in EF, from the analysis of innovative teaching strategies, such as active methodologies.

Métodos: Optou-se pelo estudo de campo descritivo, com abordagens quantitativa e qualitativa. Foram analisados 13 (treze) professores universitários de instituições públicas e privadas de um município do interior do Paraná, por meio de um questionário com perguntas abertas e fechadas. Resultados: Notou-se que os docentes compreendem as metodologias ativas e a maioria (n=8) possui algum tipo de formação a respeito. Em relação à utilização das metodologias ativas, a maioria dos docentes (n=11) afirmou fazer uso em sala de aula. Conclusão: Os professores compreendem, possuem algum tipo de formação e fazem uso de tais estratégias.
