Multidimensional organizational development from the viewpoint of the territorial dimension

Resumo: This essay aims to highlight the importance of the territorial dimension for organizational development in a multidimensional way. From the literature, some changes were noticed in the current model of management of organizations, the territory is no longer seen only as a mere receptacle of economic activity on the national or global regional scale, becoming a strategic agent of development, not for the its ability to attract economic activities, but rather for generating these activities internally, and thus, local actors start to play an active role in decision-making in the local or regional economy. Finally, it is concluded that the multidimensional organizational development from the territorial perspective represents a contrast to the fragmented vision of the company based on competitiveness only for scale gains and market share, establishing new possibilities to boost regional development.

A partir de la literatura se advierten algunos cambios en el actual modelo de gestión de las organizaciones, el territorio deja de ser visto solo como un mero receptáculo de la actividad económica a escala nacional o regional global, convirtiéndose en un agente estratégico de desarrollo, no por el capacidad de atraer actividades económicas, sino de generar estas actividades internamente, y así, los actores locales pasan a tener un papel activo en la toma de decisiones en la economía local o regional. Finalmente, se concluye que el desarrollo organizacional multidimensional desde la perspectiva territorial representa un contraste con la visión fragmentada de la empresa basada en la competitividad solo para ganancias de escala y participación de mercado, estableciendo nuevas posibilidades para impulsar el desarrollo regional.Este ensaio tem como objetivo destacar a importância da dimensão territorial para o desenvolvimento organizacional de forma multidimensional. A partir da literatura, percebeu-se algumas alterações no modelo atual de gestão das organizações. O território deixa de ser visto somente como um mero receptáculo da atividade econômica na escala regional, nacional ou global, passando a ser um agente estratégico de desenvolvimento, não pela sua capacidade de atrair atividades econômicas, mas, sim, capacidade de gerar internamente essas atividades. Assim, os atores locais passam a ter papel ativo na tomada de decisão na economia local ou regional. Por fim, concluiu-se que o desenvolvimento organizacional multidimensional sob a ótica territorial representa uma contraposição à visão fragmentada da empresa, baseada na competitividade apenas para ganhos de escala e na participação mercadológica, estabelecendo novas possibilidades para impulsionar o desenvolvimento regional.   Abstract: This essay aims to highlight the importance of the territorial dimension for organizational development in a multidimensional way.
