History and institutional management of UFMG exchanges

The research aimed to understand how the history of UFMG - Montes Claros Campus with its graduates occurred historically. For this purpose, a documentary research with a view to knowing the history of this University in Montes Claros and, later, to verify the existence of policies of accompaniment of these professionals. The study pointed out that the work of UFMG in Montes Claros has contributed to regional development, especially considering the agricultural vocation of the region and the demand for professionals in the area of Agricultural Sciences. However, despite the significant number of trained professionals, it was verified that there is neither a systematized policy of monitoring nor the use of possible information developed by the University's Central Administration. In view of this, it may be pointed out that, in the absence of a follow-up management of graduates, the University no longer has access to information capable of contributing to evaluation processes, choosing public policies, restructuring curricula and courses and, even, in the celebration of agreements and partnerships with other public or private institutions.
