MUSIC STUDENT WITH EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT WHILE LISTENING TO MUSIC: MUSIC DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION ON THE LIGHT OF NEUROEDUCATION

Resumo: Neuroeducation, as an evaluative tool, dialogues with the trivet: Neuroscience, Education and Psychology. It has as a focus, colecting data on the behavior and cognitive aspects of the individual. The experience related in this article aimed to develop, based on neuroscience, a musical diagnostic evaluation for an adult musician that express physical and emotional discomfort upon hearing the song “Coração de Estudante” by Milton Nascimento. From the results of the evaluation, we promoted a discussion concerning the importance of neuroscience in the docent musical formation and in the evaluative process in general. The evaluation was elaborated on a qualitative approach, through a structured interview with objective and subjective questions. It was applied in the month of January of 2020. The results indicated that the volunteer showed physical and emocional symptoms that he considered to be negative, connected to melodic elements from the song “Coração de Estudante” by Milton Nascimento. However, he didn’t presented the same symptoms regarding the lyrics and rhythm of the song. The discussion and conclusion offer suggested measures for the evaluative musical processes based on neuroeducation for the deepening of the docent practice.

A neuroeducação, como ferramenta avaliativa, dialoga com o tripé: neurociências, educação e psicologia, e tem como foco coletar dados sobre o comportamento e aspectos cognitivos do indivíduo. A experiência relatada neste artigo objetivou elaborar, com base na neurociência, uma avaliação diagnóstica musical para um músico adulto que demonstra incômodo físico e emocional quando ouve a música Coração de Estudante de Milton Nascimento. A partir dos resultados da avaliação, promovemos uma discussão sobre a importância da neurociência na formação docente musical e no processo avaliativo, em geral. A avaliação foi elaborada sobre uma abordagem qualitativa, mediante entrevista estruturada com questões fechadas e abertas e foi aplicada no mês de janeiro de 2020. Os resultados apontaram que o voluntário apresentou sintomas físicos e emocionais considerados por ele negativos, ligados a elementos melódicos da música “Coração de estudante” de Milton Nascimento, mas não apresentou os mesmos sintomas em relação à letra e ritmo da música. A discussão e conclusão oferecem sugestões de medidas para os processos avaliativos musicais baseados em neuroeducação para aprofundamento da prática docente. La neuroeducación, como herramienta evaluativa, dialoga con el trípode: de las neurociencias, la educación y la psicología, y se enfoca en recolectar datos sobre el comportamiento del individuo y aspectos cognitivos. La experiencia relatada en este artículo tuvo como objetivo desarrollar, con base en la neurociencia, una evaluación diagnóstica musical para un músico adulto que demuestra malestar físico y emocional al escuchar la música Coração de Estudante de Milton Nascimento. Con base en los resultados de la evaluación, promovimos una discusión sobre la importancia de la neurociencia en la formación de profesores de música y en el proceso de evaluación en general. La evaluación se basó en un enfoque cualitativo, a través de una entrevista estructurada con preguntas cerradas y abiertas y se aplicó en enero de 2020. Los resultados mostraron que el voluntario presentaba síntomas físicos y emocionales considerados negativos por él, vinculados a elementos melódicos de la canción "Coração de Estudante" de Milton Nascimento, pero no mostró los mismos síntomas en relación con la letra y el ritmo de la canción.
