Resumo: Objective: To describe the experience of living with students in undergraduate nursing education / orientation of the query present report deals with the experience of the residents of Nursing Specialization Course in Public Health in Housing Molds, School of Nursing Aurora de Afonso Costa da Universidade Federal Fluminense, while within the field of activity in the interdisciplinary program of geriatrics and gerontology at the university with undergraduate students in this school nursing. The students have as a training laboratory of practical nursing program, where consultations are ambulatory and nursing home with elderly patients and their caregivers. In this field the students have always been under the continuous attention of teachers, however, with the inclusion of residents in the nursing program, the profile of supervision of students has changed, it began to be supervised also by the resident. Conclusion: This change has brought experience of freedom in the exchange of knowledge and customer relations for a graduate student in nursing during the course of intentional action of the nurse, nursing, and the resident was found to be a novel experience because the interrelationship between education, resident and academic, in the presence of the customer.

Conclusion: This change has brought experience of freedom in the exchange of knowledge and customer relations for a graduate student in nursing during the course of intentional action of the nurse, nursing, and the resident was found to be a novel experience because the interrelationship between education, resident and academic, in the presence of the customer.Objetivo: descrever a vivência do residente junto aos alunos de graduação em enfermagem no ensino/orientação da consulta.O presente relato trata da experiência vivida pelos residentes de Enfermagem do Curso de Especialização em Saúde Coletiva nos Moldes de Residência da Escola de Enfermagem Aurora de Afonso Costa da Universidade Federal Fluminense, durante a permanência no campo de atuação no programa interdisciplinar de geriatria e gerontologia da universidade junto aos alunos de graduação em enfermagem desta escola. Os graduandos têm como campo de estágio o laboratório de práticas em enfermagem do Programa, onde são realizadas consultas de enfermagem ambulatorial e domiciliar com o paciente idoso e seus cuidadores. Neste campo os alunos sempre estiveram sob a atenção contínua dos professores, no entanto, com a inserção do residente de enfermagem no programa, o perfil da supervisão dos discentes sofreu algumas alterações, pois começaram a ser supervisionados também pelo residente.
