Resumo: | This article aims to go the path of writing from its earliest inscriptions on media, then through the paper and the advent of the printed book, the Gutenberg era, whose culture reigned with sovereignty for several centuries, until the digital revolution when writing jumped from printed paper to electronic screens. At this point writing changes its nature, because the computer allows the seamless blending of the three matrices of language: verbal, visual and audible. It also allows the subdivision of information into portions that are connected according to the user´s agency, which creates a new kind of language: hypertext and hypermedia. |

Transmutations of writing in digital mediaTransmutações da escrita em suporte digitalThis article aims to go the path of writing from its earliest inscriptions on media, then through the paper and the advent of the printed book, the Gutenberg era, whose culture reigned with sovereignty for several centuries, until the digital revolution when writing jumped from printed paper to electronic screens. At this point writing changes its nature, because the computer allows the seamless blending of the three matrices of language: verbal, visual and audible. It also allows the subdivision of information into portions that are connected according to the user´s agency, which creates a new kind of language: hypertext and hypermedia. Edunisc2012-01-04info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://online.unisc.br/seer/index.php/signo/article/view/283210.17058/signo.v37i62.2832Signo; v. 37 n. 62 (2012): V Colóquio Leitura e Cognição; 02-151982-2014reponame:Signo (Santa Cruz do Sul.
