Resumo: This research has sought to analyze processes and results from implementing the joint venture JOST Brasil Sistemas Automotivos Ltda., the result of a partnership between the Brazilian company Randon S/A. and the German company JOST-Werke. As research methodology, the qualitative approach was used from the development of a case study, through document analysis and in-depth interviews. Among the results, it possible to identify that the design and development of the joint venture was founded by interdependence, trust and commitment levels, quality of interactions, adequacy of governance mechanisms and congruence of goals between the parts.

Como metodología fue utilizada la investigación cualitativa, con carácter exploratorio, desde el desarrollo de un estudio de caso único; las técnicas de colección de datos fueron la investigación documental y entrevistas en profundidad. Entre los resultados fue identificado que la estructuración y el desarrollo de la joint venture fueron basados por niveles de interdependencia, confianza y comprometimiento, cualidad de las interacciones, adecuación de los mecanismos de gobernabilidad y congruencia de intereses entre las partes.Este estudo buscou analisar os processos e resultados da implementação da joint venture JOST Brasil Sistemas Automotivos Ltda., resultado da parceria entre a empresa brasileira Randon S/A. e a empresa alemã JOST-Werke. Como metodologia foi utilizada a pesquisa qualitativa, com caráter exploratório, a partir do desenvolvimento de um estudo de caso único, tendo como técnicas de coleta a pesquisa documental e entrevistas em profundidade.
