THE RESOURCE-BASED VIEW AT INCUBATORS AND ACCELERATORS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY

Resumo: Technology startups have a positive impact on the socioeconomic development of a region, but they lack resources, seeking support organizations, such as incubators and accelerators. This work aimed to identify the differences and similarities between incubation and acceleration programs, based on the resources offered, using the Resource Based View as a theoretical perspective. For this, a qualitative approach was adopted, with the realization of a case study with the application of semi-structured interviews with an incubator and an accelerator. Five categories of resources were identified: physical, financial, technological, organizational, and human. The results showed that the incubation and acceleration programs have different characteristics, not being exclusive but complementary.

Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo identificar las diferencias y similitudes entre los programas de incubación y aceleración, a partir de los recursos ofrecidos, utilizando la Vista Basada en Recursos como perspectiva teórica. Para ello, se adoptó un enfoque cualitativo, con la realización de un estudio de caso con la aplicación de entrevistas semiestructuradas con una incubadora y una aceleradora. Se identificaron cinco categorías de recursos: físicos, financieros, tecnológicos, organizacionales y humanos. Los resultados mostraron que los programas de incubación y aceleración tienen características diferentes, no siendo exclusivas sino complementarias.As startups de tecnologia impactam positivamente o desenvolvimento socioeconômico de uma região, porém, carecem de recursos, buscando organizações de apoio, como incubadoras e aceleradoras. Este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar as diferenças e semelhanças entre programas de incubação e aceleração, baseando-se nos recursos oferecidos, utilizando como perspectiva teórica a Visão Baseada em Recursos. Para isso, adotou-se a abordagem qualitativa, com a realização de um  estudo de caso, com a aplicação de entrevista semiestruturada com uma incubadora e uma aceleradora. Foram indentificadas cinco categorias de recursos: físicos, financeiros, tecnológicos, organizacionais e humanos.
