COMPETENCES OF THE LIBRARIAN IN WORKING IN A UNIVERSITY LIBRARY OF A PUBLIC INSTITUTION: IMPLICATIONS OF INTERDISCIPLINARY DIMENSIONS AND SUBJECTIVITY

Resumo: Considerations about the skills of the librarian at work in a university library of a public educational institution are presented. Part of the perspective based on action at work, where competence is considered an action that is expressed in the context where it is demanded. It was documentary research and field research at the central library of the Núcleo de Bibliotecas - UFMA. The analysis of data was based on content analysis, whose categories were: work groups; complex situations; and dimensions of competence. The importance of the dimension of work sense and interdisciplinarity in the expression of work skills in a university library is highlighted and interconnections between: knowing, being able to act, and wanting to act, showing that competence lies in the midst of multisensationality that involves subjectivity and the work context

Se parte de la perspectiva pautada en la acción en el trabajo, donde competencia es considerada una acción que se expresa en el contexto donde es demandada. Se realizó investigación documental e investigación de campo, en la biblioteca central del Núcleo de Bibliotecas de la UFMA. El análisis de datos se basó en el análisis de contenido, cuyas categorías base fueron: grupos de trabajo; situaciones complejas; y dimensiones de la competencia. Se destaca la importancia de la dimensión del sentido del trabajo, y de la interdisciplinaridad en la expresión de las competencias en el trabajo en una biblioteca universitária e aún interconexiones entre: saber, poder actuar, y querer actuar.Apresentam-se considerações acerca das competências do bibliotecário no trabalho em uma biblioteca universitária de uma instituição pública de ensino. Parte-se da perspectiva pautada na ação no trabalho, onde competência é considera uma ação que se expressa no contexto onde é demandada. Realizou-se pesquisa documental e pesquisa de campo, na biblioteca central do Núcleo de Bibliotecas da UFMA. A análise de dados pautou-se na análise de conteúdo, cujas categorias base foram: grupos de trabalho; situações complexas; e dimensões da competência.
