Resumo: Juan José Saer has wrote one single book of poetry which title is paradoxical: El arte de narrar (The art of narration). This work analyzes the aesthetics reasons for the election of that title: the usual mixing of literary genres in Saer’s works; the narration theme to bring meaning to reality by the literary form –the “material canto”–, the substitution of poetic self by a writer’s image and the persistence of the lyrical voice.
