A poetics of indetermination: notes on Sergio Chejfec

Resumo: | One can say that if in the beginning the poetics of the Argentinean writer Sergio Chejfec (1956) claimed Juan José Saer as his ancestral and a privileged textual father, from El aire (1992) and, more precisely, with his novels Los planetas (1999), Boca de lobo (2000) and Los incompletos (2004) one perceives a certain effect or echo evanescent from the very narrative of César Aira. One could say that Chejfec’s poetics acquires potency in a radical negativity, which erodes and makes vulnerable any attempt to classification and of a more or less imaginable definition. And if the narrative progress, understood as a continuum, is the narrative system selected by our author, the sentence could well be understood as aesthetic program. |

Poderíamos dizer que a poética de Chejfec potencializa-se numa radical negatividade que vulnera e corrói qualquer tentativa de classificação e de definição mais ou menos imaginável. E se o progresso narrativo, entendido como um contínuo, é o sistema narrativo escolhido por nosso autor, a frase bem poderia ser entendida enquanto um programa estético.On peut dire que, si au départ, la poétique de l'écrivain argentin Sergio Chejfec (1956) appelait Juan Saer comme son ancêtre et père textuel privilegié, à partir de El Aire (1992) et, plus précisément, avec ses romans Los planetas (1999), Boca de Lobo (2000) et (Los incompletos) (2004) on se rend compte d'un certain effet ou écho évanescent même de la narration de César Aira. On pourrait dire que la poétique de Chejfec se rend puissante dans une dénégation radicale qui blesse et ronge n'importe quel essai de classement et de définition plus ou moins imaginable. Et si le progrès narratif, compris comme un continu, est le système narratif chosi par notre auteur, la phrase pourrait bien être comprise comme un programme esthétique.Se podría decir que si en un comienzo la poética del escritor argentino Sergio Chejfec (1956) convocaba a Juan José Saer, como su ancestro y padre textual privilegiado, a partir de El aire (1992) y, más precisamente, con sus novelas Los planetas (1999), Boca de lobo (2000) y Los incompletos (2004) se percibe cierto efecto o eco evanescente propio de la narrativa de César Aira. Podríamos decir que la poética de Chejfec se potencia en una radical negatividad que vulnera y erosiona cualquier intento de clasificación y de definición más o menos imaginable.
