Resumo: With this work, it is elaborated a rapprochement between the concepts of uncanny, by Sigmund Freud, and punctum, by Roland Barthes. The purpose is understanding that the photographic image, when cut by gaze comes as a demand of a strange but familiar and through which time is suspended. There is something on the image that pricks the gaze, opening a fissure between the referent and the image. It is also articulated anguish as an affect that does not deceive and which points to the subjects truth. Affect that can be mobilized through the punctum, concept developed by Barthes during his mourning period after his mother’s death, Henriette.

O objetivo é mostrar que o ponto na imagem fotográfica recortado pelo olhar vem como demanda de um estranho familiar e por meio do qual o tempo é suspenso. Há algo da imagem que punge o olhar, abrindo uma fissura na representação. Articula-se também a angústia como afeto que não engana e que aponta para a verdade do sujeito.
