Resumo: This paper aims to discuss ways of racism present in Geography textbooks. We question whether the law 10.6390/03, in the case of textbooks, has produced results. Thereunto, we present our research results with Geography textbooks approved by the Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD) 2010. We count 2.9 white characters for each black one and this number varied according to the book's publisher. Even with the announcement of the book, which must observe the law 10.639/03, blacks are still far from being represented according to the population proportion of Brazilian society, which indicates that surveillance on law enforcement must also be attentive to textbooks.

Nous nous interrogeons si la loi 10.6390/03, dans le cas des manuels scolaires, a produit des résultats. Pour cela, nous présentons nos résultats de recherche avec les manuels de géographie approuvé pour Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD) 2010. Nous avons verifié 2,9 caractères blancs pour chaque personnage noir, et ce nombre variait en fonction de l'éditeur du livre. Même avec l'annonce de la livre, qui doivent respecter les 10.639/03 de la loi, les noirs sont encore loin d'être représentée comme la proportion de la population de la société brésilienne, ce qui indique que la surveillance de l'application des lois doivent également être attentifs aux livres didactiques.Neste texto temos como objetivo discutir formas de racismo presentes em livros didáticos de Geografia. Questionamos se a lei 10.6390/03, no caso dos livros didáticos, tem produzido resultados. Para isso, apresentamos resultados de nossa pesquisa com os livros didáticos de Geografia aprovados para o Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD) de 2010. Contamos 2,9 personagens brancos para cada personagem negro da amostra, e esse número variou de acordo com a editora do livro.
