Resumo: This article is based on theoretical research that explores the possibility of incorporating an interdisciplinary approach in the study of childhood and its educational processes. It aims to engage with the issues raised by the Sociology of Childhood, emphasizing the significance of interdisciplinary perspectives in moving beyond naturalized perceptions of children and recognizing them as historical entities. By acknowledging the potential for interdisciplinary dialogue, this text questions the potential interconnection between childhood studies and poetic language. Based on the works of Manoel de Barros and Manuel Sarmento, and their potential for mutual dialogue, we advocate for the inclusion of poetry in the construction of a knowledge field that challenges standardized notions of childhood, thereby enabling the emergence of alternative images of children beyond our adult-centric understandings.

O artigo busca estabelecer um diálogo com questões levantadas pela Sociologia da Infância, que destaca a importância da abordagem interdisciplinar como forma de transcender as visões naturalizadas de criança e compreendê-las como seres históricos. Reconhecendo a interdisciplinaridade como uma oportunidade ampla de diálogo, o texto questiona a possibilidade de uma interlocução entre os estudos das infâncias e a linguagem poética.
