Materialidades da comunicação em figuras de ação: uma abordagem ciborgue sobre masculinidades

Resumo: This article describes through the essay structure, the articulated dolls, also known today as action figures. This approach is constituted through a cyborg theory and the precepts of the theories of materialities of communication. Marshall McLuhan established that many gadgets used in man's daily life can function as extensions of his body. In this way, I use Donna Haraway's cyborg body theory combined with Johan Huizinga's game theory to explain how the materialities of communication affect the use of action figures in the masculinities of human beings, whether through playing or mere collecting. I also stipulate, based on these assumptions, some proposals for the study of masculinities with/in action figures for future works that intend to expand this analysis and these ideas. I conclude this essay in the direction of movements that can use the material conditions of action figures as a way of undoing and remaking the genre.

Essa abordagem se constitui através de uma teoria ciborgue e dos preceitos das teorias das materialidades da comunicação. Marshall McLuhan estabeleceu que muitos gadgets utilizados no cotidiano do homem podem funcionar como extensões de seu corpo. Dessa forma, utilizo a teoria do corpo ciborgue de Donna Haraway aliada à teoria dos jogos de Johan Huizinga para explicar como as materialidades da comunicação afetam a utilização de action figures nas masculinidades dos seres humanos, seja através das brincadeiras ou do mero colecionismo. Também estipulo, a partir desses pressupostos, algumas propostas para o estudo de masculinidades com/em action figures para trabalhos futuros que pretendam ampliar esta análise e essas ideias.
