Resumo: The objective of the research is to show the factors that interfere in the generational succession under the perception of parents and children of family farmers. The research becomes relevant because family farming is considered one of the sectors that cultivate in large numbers the healthiest food, free of pesticides, worrying about the health of its workers and consumers. The method used to achieve the objectives proposed in this article is a bibliographical research of qualitative approach and in terms of levels is a descriptive and documentary research. The data collection was done through the analysis of articles already published. The results expected from the research are to raise the public interest in the problem of generational non-succession in family agriculture and to contribute to incentives to leverage the production of healthy food, free of pesticides, through the use of less aggressive techniques. environment and logistics that will provide a better performance of activities and ensure the growth of productivity and consequently the income of farming families.
