The potential of Community Based Tourism (CBT) in Assentamento 72 in Ladário in Mato Grosso do Sul

Resumo: Community Based Tourism (CBT) emerges as an alternative to mass tourism in the sense of proposing tourism management by the community itself. However, studies point to potential CBT without focusing on aspects of internal management of communities. The objective of this work is to analyze the potential for implementing CBT in Assentamento 72, in Ladário, MS. The research is qualitative, oral history was used as the interview method, and the data were analyzed based oncontent analysis and with the aid of the IRAMUTEQ software. The results identify internal management issues in the settlement, there are practices of associativism and autonomous decisions, in addition to partnerships with Embrapa Pantanal and UFMS. Thus, it was noted that there is potential to develop CBT in the surveyed settlement. Although there is no practice of tourism, there are conversations about planning and executing a party with local products and there is the possibility of offering tours in the settlement for tourists to get to know this reality. Discussions on TBC initiatives need to advance in the sense of not only exposing potentialities related to tours, but also understanding the organization and the multiple relationships of the host communities

Sin embargo, los estudios apuntan a posibles TBC sin centrarse en aspectos de gestión interna de las comunidades. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el potencial de implementación de TBC en el Assentamento 72, en Ladário, MS. La investigación es cualitativa, se utilizó la historia oral como método de entrevista y los datos fueron analizados con base en el análisis de contenido y con la ayuda del software IRAMUTEQ. Los resultados identifican problemas de gestión interna en el asentamiento, existen prácticas de asociativismo y decisiones autónomas, además de alianzas con Embrapa Pantanal y UFMS. Así, se observó que existe potencial para desarrollar TBC en el asentamiento investigado. Si bien no existe práctica de turismo, sí se habla de planificar y ejecutar una fiesta con productos locales y existe la posibilidad de ofrecer recorridos en el asentamiento para que los turistas conozcan esta realidad. Las discusiones sobre las iniciativas de TBC deben avanzar en el sentido no sólo de exponer las potencialidades relacionadas con los tours, sino también de comprender la organización y las múltiples relaciones de las comunidades anfitrionas.O Turismo de Base Comunitária (TBC) surge como uma alternativa ao turismo de massa no sentido de propor a gestão do turismo pela própria comunidade. Contudo, os estudos apontam para potenciais de TBC, sem se debruçar sobre os aspectos da gestão interna das comunidades. O objetivo do trabalho é analisar o potencial para implementação do TBC no Assentamento 72, em Ladário, MS. A pesquisa é qualitativa, utilizou-se a história oral como método de entrevistas, e os dados foram analisados a partir da análise de conteúdo e com auxílio do software IRAMUTEQ. Os resultados identificam questões de gestão interna do assentamento, existem práticas de associativismo e decisões autônomas, além de parcerias com a Embrapa Pantanal e com a UFMS. Assim, notou-se que existe potencial para desenvolver TBC no assentamento pesquisado. Apesar de não ocorrer prática de turismo, existem conversas sobre planejamento e execução de uma festa com produtos locais e há a possibilidade de oferecer passeios no assentamento para os turistas conhecerem essa realidade.
