Construção e vivência de valores: aprendendo a ser e a conviver

Resumo: | This study was developed from a extension project between the years of 2006 -2009 in a Middle School in the city of Bauru with the goals to support the construction of citizenship in teenagers and to strengthen their self esteem, their self knowledge and the achievement of their rights and duties in order to ease their insertion into the collective, as they realize themselves as social transformation agents. It is an adaptation of a project developed by the ODEBRECHT foundation in Bahia focusing on the transverse themes: Ethics, Sexual Education, Cultural Plurality, Work and Consumption, and Health and Environment. These themes, in addition to others that each school needs to prioritize due to the vicissitudes that experiences, must permeate across the curriculum to create, transform and favor their development by means of the daily living. The survey methodology was based in the research-action. We considered the activities developed in groups and the result of Defining Issues Test (DIT-1) applied before and after Project for data collection. The result indicates change in the moral development of the teenagers and new perceptions about the problems that are presented in the reality, providing the construction of values present in the transverse themes proposal. Greater participation of students in the school activities, like student guild and fanfare, was also observed. |

Greater participation of students in the school activities, like student guild and fanfare, was also observed.Este trabalho de intervenção e pesquisa foi desenvolvido a partir de um projeto de extensão entre 2006-2009, em uma escola de Ensino Fundamental, da cidade de Bauru (SP) com os objetivos de favorecer a construção da cidadania e fortalecer nos adolescentes a autoestima, o autoconhecimento e o exercício dos direitos e deveres, de modo a facilitar a inserção no coletivo, percebendo-se como agentes de transformação social. Trata-se de adaptação do Projeto desenvolvido na Bahia pela Fundação ODEBRECHT focando os temas transversais: Ética, Educação Sexual, Pluralidade Cultural, Trabalho e Consumo, Saúde e Meio Ambiente. Tais temas – além de outros que cada escola necessita priorizar em função das vicissitudes que vivencia – devem permear transversalmente o currículo para criar, transformar e favorecer o desenvolvimento deles, por meios da convivência cotidiana. A metodologia da pesquisa foi baseada na pesquisa-ação. Para a coleta de dados consideramos as atividades desenvolvidas nos grupos e o resultado do Defining Issues Test (DIT-1) aplicado antes e depois do projeto.
