A iniciação científica no ensino médio como possibilidade de mudança da visão do aluno sobre a aprendizagem da matemática

Several national assessments indicate students' difficulties in relation to learning mathematics, showing that student performance reflects serious learning difficulties. The idea of developing an action that could contribute to try to change this scenario was designed in 2009, with the project "Scientific Initiation in High School", in which students of the Mathematics Degree course would make the role of guiding students of schools High School. And so we have developed an extension project for work with high school students. In the five years that we are developing this extension project, the scholarship students have had the opportunity to meet, more in depth, the school context and high school students have developed research that has been presented at scientific meetings.
