Resumo: The present work aims to establish reliable ways of playing in computing environment, the behavior of compression springs, for the study of its various properties. To achieve this goal, were used three proof springs of similar dimensions, but different from each other for the study. The first step was to identify the needs of this project. Thus, it was found that, beyond the dimensions of the test springs; other properties would also be required concerning the material of the springs as well as a way to verify the results obtained from simulations. Thus, after the measurement, the compression test of each of the springs were carried out, to be then carried hardness and the metallographic tests, requiring to damage the springs by cutting them for extracting samples. The final step, then, was to analyze the obtained data, identifying which corresponds or not to the desired purpose and suggesting improvements to be adopted for future work which might use this text as a base

Para atingir tal objetivo, adotaram-se três molas de prova de dimensões similares, porém diferentes entre si para o estudo. O primeiro passo foi a identificação das necessidades desse projeto. Dessa forma, identificou-se que, além das dimensões das molas de prova; seriam também necessárias propriedades referentes ao material das molas, bem como uma forma de comprovar os resultados obtidos nas simulações. Assim, após as medições, foram realizados os ensaios de compressão de cada uma das molas, para que fossem então realizados os ensaios metalográfico e de dureza, que exigiam danificar os corpos de prova permanentemente através de corte para extração de amostras.
