Resumo: Through a practical approach, this work aims to perform the static analysis of a helical compression spring. With this in mind, a theoretical study of the concepts to be used in the present work was initially carried out, beginning afterwards with the experimental part of it. In addition to the mechanical tests of compression and low force hardness Vickers, which provided some properties of the spring, as it's elastic constant, the hardness of the material that composes the spring, as well as the tensile strength of it, was also realized the Spectrometric assay in order to define which material was studied. With such results, the same properties were calculated using the available theoretical references, in order to compare the theoretical and experimental results, thus validating the used methods. Through the present work, with its procedures performed in accordance with applicable regulatory standards, it was possible to observe the wide range of applications available, as well as to understand the importance of the same within various areas of industry and society

Com isso em mente, inicialmente foi realizado um estudo teórico dos conceitos a serem empregados no presente trabalho, partindo-se logo em seguida para a parte experimental do mesmo. Além dos ensaios mecânicos de compressão e de dureza Vickers de baixa força, que forneceram algumas propriedades da mola, como a constante elástica da mesma, a dureza do material que compõe o elemento, bem como a resistência a tração do mesmo, foi também realizado o ensaio químico de espectrometria, a fim de definir qual o material estudado. Com tais resultados aferidos, calcularam-se as mesmas propriedades usando do referencial teórico disponível, de modo a comparar os resultados teóricos e experimentais, validando assim os métodos utilizados.
