The changes that encompass medium cities and the Brazilian urban network result mainly from the effects of globalization, which by homogenizing, never completely the spaces, makes them peculiar by coexisting the times of the past and the present. The city thus becomes an inexhaustible space for analysis, because it is in it that the global and local actions of different agents become more evident and become more and more complex, leading to a change in their material structures and practices Space, these resulting from the interactions that society establishes with its form-content. It is the urbanization of medium cities that has presented a range of possibilities of readings that we can allow us to understand their transformations. Urban restructuring is what has redesigned the new processes and practices on its urban spaces. It was from these processes that we tried to construct our reasoning in this work, to understand the processes of transformation of the middle city of Presidente Prudente.
