Resumo: This work consists on a study of the acoustic propagation sound beams in the ocean. We investigate some typical characteristics of the ocean in order to understand the behavior of the sound speed propagation. We describe a model for the properties of the sound on the ocean and we develop the equations of the acoustics beams propagation, the Hamiltonian formalism and the study of ray chaos. We investigate numerically the dynamics of the acoustic beams by varying the perturbation amplitude and the dissipation coefficient for the cases of area preservation and area contraction in the phase space
