Resumo: Currently periodontics has been dedicated to a better aesthetic and functional condition, without forgetting its principles of preservation of teeth and periodontal tissues health. The unaesthetic condition is most often related to the amount of exposed gum tissue. In an esthetic rehabilitation is necessary to analyze dynamically the components of the smile and their harmonic relation. Often to this harmony is established or returned to the patient is necessary to carry out a multidisciplinary planning and treatment involving the areas of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. The aim of this study was to describe a case in which the association between these two areas has been proposed and achieved. Through the clinical results and patient satisfaction, we can understand that the association of periodontal and prosthetic techniques in cases that exhibit esthetic gingival and dental problems, it is favorable to achieve a pleasing end result

A condição antiestética esta na maioria das vezes relacionada à quantidade de tecido gengival exposto. Em uma reabilitação estética é preciso analisar de forma dinâmica para que os componentes do sorriso se relacionem harmonicamente. Muitas vezes para que essa harmonia seja estabelecida ou devolvida ao paciente é necessário realizar um planejamento e tratamento multidisciplinar envolvendo as áreas da Periodontia e Odontologia Restauradora. O objetivo deste trabalho foi descrever um caso clínico no qual a associação entre essas duas áreas foi proposta e realizada.
