Resumo: Gears are mechanical elements of great importance and extensive application, since they are present in several areas, as well as the programming language Visual Basic (VB), which is currently among the 10 most used programming languages in the world according to the TIOBE index. The objective of this work is to develop analytically the calculation for stress analysis and dimensioning of cylindrical gears of spurs, and finally, to simulate these calculations with the aid of a program developed in VB, validating the same through known results
