Resumo: Through a current and practical approach, this work aims to demonstrate the development of a programacional logic in Visual Basic for Application (VBA) language to calculate the initials values of shafts and square keys in gear transmission system. Thus, the programming of the transmission system in Visual Basic language was performed. After this a user-friendly graphical interface was developed too. After the programming, the values were calculated for a transmission system and a report has created with all the calculated parameters during all the steps. After compared with the values obtained through the manual calculation, thus demonstrating that the software developed presents results consistent with the manual calculation

Assim realizou-se a a construção da lógica programacional do sistema de transmissão em linguagem do Visual Basic. Após isto desenvolveu-se uma interface gráfica amigável para o usuário. Finalizada a programação, calculou-se os valores para um sistema de transmissão e criou-se um relatório contendo todas os parâmetros calculados durante as etapas.
